Terms of Service – Thoth Guide AI

Welcome to Thoth Guide AI, operated by Nile Tech for Technology Development.

Thoth Guide AI provides augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and interactive guided tour experiences for museums, temples, archaeological sites, historical landmarks, and cultural destinations.

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum digital consent age in your country to use the App. Users under this age may use the App only under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Accounts and Authentication

The App may allow account registration or sign-in using supported providers such as:

  • Email sign-in

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities that occur under your account.

3. App Services

Thoth Guide AI is designed to enhance travel, tourism, and educational experiences through features such as:

  • Augmented Reality object recognition
  • AI-generated explanations and recommendations
  • Interactive guided tours
  • Audio narration
  • Multilingual support
  • Historical and cultural learning experiences

The App is intended for informational and entertainment purposes only.

4. Permissions and Device Access

To operate certain features, the App may request access to:

  • Camera (for AR experiences)
  • Storage / media access

You may manage permissions through your device settings. Some features may not function correctly if permissions are denied.

5. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer

The App may use artificial intelligence to generate content, responses, translations, recommendations, or historical explanations.

While we aim to provide helpful and accurate information:

  • AI responses may contain inaccuracies or omissions
  • Historical interpretations may vary
  • Information should not replace official guides, licensed experts, or verified institutional sources

Use AI-generated content at your own discretion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App unlawfully or fraudulently
  • Interfere with security, servers, or operations
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where legally permitted
  • Upload malicious, abusive, infringing, or harmful content
  • Misuse AR features in unsafe or restricted areas
  • Violate intellectual property rights

7. Purchases and Subscriptions

If the App offers paid features, premium access, or one-time purchases:

  • Payments are processed through the applicable app store provider
  • Charges are billed at the time of purchase
  • One-time purchases do not automatically renew
  • Purchase management, billing history, and refund requests are subject to the policies of the applicable app store provider

Applicable taxes and store policies may apply.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights in the App, including software, branding, logos, design elements, text, graphics, AR systems, AI systems, and related materials, are owned by or licensed to Nile Tech for Technology Development.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the App without prior written permission.

9. Safety Notice

When using AR or navigation features, always remain aware of your surroundings.

Do not use the App:

  • While driving or operating machinery
  • In areas where mobile device use is specifically prohibited by venue management or law
  • In a manner that distracts you from safety instructions, staff directions, or emergency notices
  • In any way that may endanger yourself or others

When visiting museums, temples, archaeological sites, or landmarks, users are responsible for complying with all local rules, photography restrictions, access limitations, and staff guidance.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services such as authentication providers, analytics tools, cloud hosting, maps, payment processors, or AI service providers.

We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their separate terms and privacy practices.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Continuous availability
  • Accuracy or reliability of outputs

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nile Tech for Technology Development shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, data, travel disruptions, or reliance on AI-generated information.

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Required by law or regulation
  • Necessary to protect users, systems, or business operations

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes may be communicated through:

  • In-app notifications
  • Website updates
  • App store listing updates

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of Egypt, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
